Learn

how to transform trash into treasures in time for the holidays. Students will learn both technical and aesthetic aspects of turning old boxes, furniture, trunks, etc. into durable, useful and beautiful works of art. The class will provide brushes, white glue, picture varnish, and a large assortment of old illustrations, photographs, and pictures and space to work.

Bring something to decorate.

This can be anything: an old box, bottle or can, a trunk, a table or tray or just a flat piece of plywood or masonite. Students should also bring some paper cutting tools. We recommend a cutting board (the white plastic ones work best but wood is ok) and an exacto knife but scissors or anything else you are comfortable with is ok too.

Included with the class:

your choice one pound of paper from our very large selection of magazines comics, calendars and whatnot. Students working on large objects can get as much extra material as needed for 25 cents per pound (2 dollars would be more than enough to cover a large trunk). Or you can bring your own materials (we recommend that beginners limit themselves to paper scraps).

Just $10 per Class

Advance registration: $40 for all 4 nights or $15 per student/per night at the door. Students must be 14 or older. Students younger than 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
